Street Beat Member Agreement
Welcome to Street Beat! This agreement ("Agreement") describes your rights and responsibilities in your use of Street Beat's website both as a visitor and as a registered Street Beat member, and what you can expect from us. By clicking "I have read and agree with the Member Agreement" or by otherwise indicating that you agree, you are agreeing to these terms, so please take a moment to read this legally binding agreement.
Street Beat is a website for Community Associations and their members. It is intended to drive community engagement and foster communication amongst community members. We use "Street Beat" here to refer to the StreetBeat.ca website (also referred to as our "Services") that provide you with access to that platform. We also use "Street Beat" to refer to the company operating our Services.
The Services are operated and provided to you by PI Consulting Ltd, 1702 24 Street SW, Calgary, AB Canada T3C 1J1.
Eligibility. Each household / residence shall have only one record, and every adult in the household should have their own username and password to access the Services. You may not share your account password with anyone else or allow someone else to use your personal account. You will not allow people not living in your residence to benefit from your membership privileges. You must use your real name, not a pseudonym. We reserve the right to deny or disable account registrations if they violate any of the terms of service.
Address Verification. It is not OK to submit inaccurate registration information, or to register if you know you don't meet our eligibility requirements. Providing false registration information violates our norms and could constitute a crime.
Members listed as part of the household must be residents or owners at that address. Including non-residents or non-owners on your account violates this agreement.
We make efforts to enforce our eligibility requirements, but please do not assume these processes are perfect. For example, we require Community Associations to verify their members' status as real-world residential neighbours.
Account Types. Street Beat offers personal accounts to individual residential and certain business members, and special accounts to Community Association boards. Special accounts agree to additional terms and Community Association admins can only view data for members of their own Community Association.
Preferences. You control the number and nature of the email communication you will receive. The Community Association has the discretion to over-ride those preferences and send messages to their entire membership, but generally, you will only receive the types of emails that you have subscribed to. You can change your preferences at any time by logging into Street Beat and changing your Communication Interests and Volunteer Interests.
Privacy. We know that you do not want spam or marketing phone calls from third parties, so we will never divulge your personal information to third parties (other than the Community Association you've joined). Our privacy policy explains how we handle member and visitor data collected and generated in the course of visiting or using Street Beat. Please read it, as it forms part of this agreement.
Content. You retain all ownership rights to the text and other content you submit to Street Beat (collectively, your "Content"). Your Community Association has nonexclusive license to view, use and copy your "Content".
These terms may change from time to time, so it is best to return to this page and review them periodically.
